CFI Interview Advice

Asked by: 6588 views Flight Instructor

Fellow CFIs, after a year of no luck since my check ride, I finally may have an interview at a 141 school. I haven't been able to fly or instruct since. But I'm very excited for this opportunity. Any advice or tips will be greatly appreciated. What questions stumped you as a new CFI.

As one who hired entry level CFI’s, I would not be asking many, if any, questions about flight instructing. I would be more interested in your attitude and appearance and willingness to work. I wanted someone who would play by the rules, follow the syllabus, make all the required logbook and syllabus record entries contemporaneously, and follow the standardized instructor guidance provided by the company.
