how to regain flight instructor rating for a DoD IP with an expired FI rating
Asked by: Andrew Hird 3656 views Flight Instructor
I'm an active duty USAF C-17 instructor pilot. My flight instructor rating expired January 2012. During my career I've earned an ATP multi-engine and a Commercial Single. In January 2010 I took the Flight Instructor competency test as a DoD IP. That Flight Instructor rating expired while I was on a staff duty and not flying for 2 years. Now that I'm activey instructing again in the C-17 I want to regain my FI rating. Can I just retake the test? Thank you in advance for advice. Andy
