Logging hang gliding in log book

I've been thinking about trying hang gliding, and was wondering if I would log my time along with any other flight time (i.e. SEL, gliders, etc) in my log book.

Sure, why not. You can log your weekly drive down to the grocery store if you want, you’ll get some funny looks when you present your logbook for your next checkride, but as long as you’re not counting the time towards currency, a new certificate or, in fact, anything aeronautical, shouldn’t be an issue.

Your logbook is your aviation diary – bits of it can be used to meet certain regulatory requirements, but that doesn’t mean it can ONLY be used for that. People who want to make aviation their career would advise against frivolous logging, having hang glider time logged will certainly make you stand out at an airline interview, but the reason we’re all there in exactly the same suit with exactly the same tie is because airlines value people who DON’T stand out – so keep that in mind.

If you’re question was “how would I log hang glider time”, you got me, apart from the obvious new column headed “Hang Glider” it’s going to take some detailed research to figure out if the time applies to other columns.
