I am currently training to fly a PPC.  What are the requirements to become a instructor?  I know i'm a long way from that step, but very curious on it in the future.  There is no PPC instructors in my area, as i'm driving a hour away to get mine.

The requirements to become an instructor is in the same place as the requirements for your PPC – Part 61 of the Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR). Depending how early you are in your training, you may already have a copy of a so-called “FAR/AIM.” That book is a re-compilation of certain Parts of the FAR (almost always out of date) and the “Aeronautical Information Manual” (AIM).

Look at the table of contents to the FAR; it’s your guide to what’s there. Look for the rules that apply to “flight instructors.”

Our sincere thanks to all who contribute constructively to this forum in answering flight training questions. If you are a flight instructor or represent a flight school / FBO offering flight instruction, you are welcome to include links to your site and related contact information as it pertains to offering local flight instruction in a specific geographic area. Additionally, direct links to FAA and related official government sources of information are welcome. However we thank you for your understanding that links to other sites or text that may be construed as explicit or implicit advertising of other business, sites, or goods/services are not permitted even if such links nominally are relevant to the question asked.
